The Gospel of Jesus
Feb 2020 - Mar 2020

Ask several people for an explanation of the Gospel and you are guaranteed to get a variety of different responses. If the gospel that we preach determines the disciples that we make, then our understanding of the “Gospel” message of Jesus is absolutely crucial if we want to make disciples and not converts. The first-century church understood this gospel and it’s time that the twenty-first century church reacquainted itself with the “Gospel" according to Jesus.

Summer 2020
Jan 2020

Summer at BBC is filled with all kinds of different activities and we are looking forward to hearing from a variety of guest speakers (male and female) at our weekend services throughout January. Make sure you’re checking into our weekend services to catch up with friends, experience some refreshing moments of worship and enjoy some quality teaching from our “Sounds of Summer.”

The Newborn King
Dec 2019

As we move into the festivity of another Christmas season and the desire to give good gifts to our loved ones, it seems appropriate that we remind ourselves that we also have a God who delights in giving good gifts to us. While the meaning of Christmas is often diminished by the loud voice of commercialism, the entrance of God’s Son into our world was His gift of peace, His gift of hope, His gift of joy and His gift of love to us.

Ephesians
Oct 2019 - Nov 2019

Living in London for almost 10 years, I got to enjoy taking people on the London Eye when they came to visit. It’s like a giant ferris wheel on the banks of the River Thames, and offers a brilliant view of London. From Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament just down below, across to Buckingham Palace, and Hyde Park and St Paul’s Cathedral and Tower Bridge it’s a great view of London.
The letter to the Ephesians is a bit like that alongside the rest of Paul’s letters. It isn’t the longest letter, but it offers a magnificent view of the landscape of Christ and his people as Paul sees it. As we go through it, we find one theme after another that is central to Christianity; God, the world, Jesus, the church, the means of salvation, Christian living, marriage, family, work, spiritual warfare. There is so much there for us to take in, and it’s worth our attention.
Some of you may have read Ephesians many times, and feel like you know it well, and maybe you subconsciously go into cruise mode. I want to urge you to resist that temptation; God means to show himself to us now as we come to his Word afresh. Let’s set ourselves to receive what he has for us, and co-operate with Him in what he wants to do in our lives and in our church community.

Life Giving Rhythms
Aug 2019 - Sep 2019

Our ultimate goal and calling in life is to grow up into full maturity as a follower of Jesus Christ. This end pursuit doesn’t just happen by chance, but because of a conscious or deliberate decision to engage in some life-giving rhythms that keep us moving in a positive direction.

Never Give Up
Jul 2019

As followers of Jesus, we have a faith that tells us to keep on getting up, to keep on moving ahead and to keep on enduring all things because we believe that God is doing something even when we might not be able to see it for ourselves. In this series we will learn some key principles for never giving up on our marriage, our friendships with one another and most importantly, our relationship with God.

Never Give up - on your marriage, on your relationships, on God.

A God for the mess of life
Apr 2019 - Jun 2019

Life can be messy at times. Sometime this mess is the direct result of some poor personal choices and yet on other occasions it comes about through no direct fault of our own. Where is God in the midst of this? As we look at the unfoldingstory of Israel in 1 Samuel we discover that God does some of his best work in our lives in the midst of the mess.

Jesus the Game Changer
Mar 2019 - Apr 2019

How the life and teaching of Jesus changed the world and why it matters.

Equipped
Feb 2019

Following the call of Jesus is both exciting and challenging. How do we best live out this call? God’s Word tells us we should be gathering, growing, giving and going as we endeavour to be and make disciples of Christ.

Sounds of Summer (2019)
Dec 2018 - Jan 2019

Hot days and warms nights; something we often associate with summer, but summer is more than that: it is time for family, friends and fun; it is relaxing, rewinding and refreshing and sounds different to the rest of the year; it's time for connecting and reconnecting. We love summer at BBC - the summer gives us the opportunity to give some of our local folk the opportunity to share the pulpit and to give us a different perspective on God and His work in the community, both locally and abroad as we seek to be and make disciples in the ordinary stuff of life.

Feel free to join us and connect.
