Council & BBCCI

BBC Church Council 

The Church Council shall:
1) Oversee the development and implementation of the Church’s mission, vision, goals, values and ministries;
2) Engage in prayer and strategic planning to build God's Kingdom;
3) Review and recommend budgets and auditors in accordance with Church’s ministry needs;
4) govern and make sound decisions in line with constitutional intent during times where the Church is significantly impacted by natural disaster, pandemic, or other unforeseen circumstances and where changes are required or governing documents remain silent, subject to subsequent ratification by the Church at the earliest opportunity,
5) Give prayerful and spiritual oversight to the church;
6) Recommend to the Church the appointment and dismissal of Pastors, Senior Staff, and other Church Council Positions of responsibility;
7) Supervise the provision of speakers for services;
8) Encourage spiritual growth of individual members by visitation, other contacts and by personal example;
9) Encourage and help members to discover and use their spiritual gifts;
10) Revise the Members Roll at least annually.

BBC Council Nomination

BBCCI 
Board of Management

The Board of Management shall:            
1) Oversee the development and implementation of BBCCI’s ministries and activities in a sound, legal, ethical and Christ like manner;               
2) Engage actively to ensure that BBCCI adheres to good governance models (policies, risk, audit, OH&S) and practices;  
3) Regularly review the financial status of BBCCI and recommend budgets in accordance with BBCCI’s ministry needs;  
4) Align with Bendigo Baptist Church’s Mission, Vision and Values;       
5) Oversee the position and performance of the Chief Executive Officer;               
6) Engage in strategic planning to continue to build a sustainable, flexible and ministry focused organisation;           
7) As best able, encourage personal and spiritual growth within BBCCI, its staff and volunteers; 
8) Consider ways and opportunities to further influence community care philosophies in the broader community;  
9) Be proponents of change that can significantly enhance BBCCI’s reputation, ministry focus and community impact.
