   - be able to teach, love what is good, be just, be devout, and hold faithfully to the Word;
   - not be violent, but gentle. Be free from the love of money;
   - not be a recent convert and have a good reputation with those outside the Church; and
   - exhibit the moral qualities of a servant of Christ.
